Police staying on patrol after murder

Police are following “a positive line of inquiry” into the murder of 32-year-old Omar Sadiq in Glasgow last week.

Chief Inspector Shaheen Baber said police patrols are continuing in the south west of the city for “reassuranc­e” after the murder, which took place at Body stone Road on Tuesday, and appealed to the public to come for ward with informatio­n.

She said :“Additional uniformed patrols are continuing in local areas, with officers engaging with communitie­s and providing reassuranc­e.”
