Scorched earth: More evacuations as California wildfire covers 93,000 acres
New evacuations have been ordered for residents in the foothills of California as the Bob cat Fire continued to spread.
The wildfire is now threatening homes in the area as firefighters battled to bring it under control.
High winds and poor visibility have hampered efforts to contain the blaze, which has covered more than 93,000 acres, churning through thick vegetation and dr y brush in steep terrain, some of which has not burned in more 60 years.
The cause is under investigation. More than 1,600 firefighters are battling the blaze.
