Romantic proposal is a sweet gesture

PLUCKING up the courage to propose marriage can be an anxious business, with many a nervous suitor’s knees turning to jelly awaiting the magic words ‘I will’. But when Angela Stephen popped the question to Tory Glasgow list MSP Annie Wells, even the ring turned to jelly in the shape of a Haribo chew, slipped on Miss Wells’s finger, above, as they watched the Homeless World Cup. Dog applauds this romantic gesture, but hopes their marital home will be more solid than a gingerbread house – or a hungry moment could render both homeless.
