ROSS COUNTY 1 RAITH ROVERS 1
(Raith win 4-3 on pens)
RAITH secured a bonus point to remain unbeaten in the Betfred Cup after three matches and were so close to securing their third consecutive victory in the competition until Brian Graham’s 75th-minute penalty for Ross County levelled the tie.
An Erik Cikos own goal had put Rovers ahead in the 18th minute and the Championship side held their own against their top-tier opponents until Graham was brought down in the box and converted the subsequent spot-kick.
The game went to penalties where the visitors held their nerve to secure the bonus-point win and move to eight points after their trio of matches.
The result leaves County lingering in third place in Group D, two points behind Alloa, who they play on Tuesday.
