I won’t be so Green after having our gazebo stolen

-

MUSIC-lover Jessica Hoskins plans on taking extra security precautions when she heads to the Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons, Wales, in August.

This is after she had a gazebo stolen while at the Reading Festival last August. The 18year-old drama student, who lives in Pembrokeshire, Wales, says the experience was frightening as the gazebo was taken from just outside her tent while she was asleep.

She adds: ‘This was the first major festival I had been to – and I naively packed a huge amount of stuff. I then became worried once lots of people on the campsite said that phones, cameras and clothes were being stolen.

‘In the end, a group of us teamed up and took it in turns to stay with the tents and keep an eye on the belongings while the rest of us went to enjoy the festival.’ The experience has made Jessica a lot more security conscious. She says: ‘When I go to Green Man, I plan on packing more lightly.

‘As I am driving, I can leave some items locked in my car. I will also keep my cash in a bum bag – and make use of lockers. But I cannot face the idea of leaving my smartphone at home as I’m hooked on social media.’
