WHAT TOM ATE LAST WEEK
Thursday
The joy of going home after a week’s fasting in Germany. Nearly a stone lighter and filled with good intentions. Dinner at Pearl Liang in Paddington with wife and children. Water boiled beef, ma po tofu and crispy pork.
Friday
Excellent pizza at Zia Lucia in Islington. Puffy, blistered crusts and just the right amount of cheese and sauce.
Saturday
Roast chicken for lunch with my sister; later, chicken larb.
Sunday
Gruyère omelette for dinner, plus a green salad.
