Bride’s walk through 500 years of history
1 The West Steps, where Meghan will enter the chapel, which dates back to 1475. 2 The Royal Family will enter via the Galilee Porch. 3 The nave – where most of the guests will sit – will be the best place to spot celebrities such as George Clooney and David Beckham. 4 Guests enter via the South Door after having travelled from the Round Tower. 5 Before Meghan reaches the altar, she will walk over a vault containing the remains of King Henry VIII, his third wife Jane Seymour, and King Charles I. 6 The Quire, where the more important members of the congregation will sit. The Queen and other key members of the Royal Family sit to the right of the altar. 7 The altar where the Archbishop of Canterbury will marry the happy couple. 8 Behind the altar of St George’s Chapel is the East Window, unveiled at the wedding of Prince Albert, the Prince of Wales, and Princess Alexandra in 1863. 9 The West Window, said to be the third-largest in England, contains 75 panes, many pre-1509.
