Libby Ballard’s ceramics are inspired by the colours and textures of the coast

The Simple Things - - MARCH THINGS -

Using photography to capture colour, shape and form, ceramicist Libby Ballard then works with porcelain and speckled clay before applying layered glazes to create her homeware. The result captures the movement and colours of the seashore of the Isle of Wight, where she grew up. We like the Speckled serving bowl, £46, and mini pot and spoon, £26, above. Having recently moved to Bath and into a studio at The Pound Arts in Wiltshire, Libby now offers private throwing classes and group workshops so you can try her method yourself.
