As well as eat­ing choco­late, the Danes mark Easter with a spe­cial beer, Påske­bryg: a tra­di­tion from the early 20th cen­tury. Slightly stronger, and us­ing un­usual in­gre­di­ents, there are now more than 100 Easter beers avail­able each year. Un­sur­pris­ingly, P-day – the day these spe­cial brews are re­leased – is also an un­of­fi­cial, tipsy day of cel­e­bra­tion.
