As well as eating chocolate, the Danes mark Easter with a special beer, Påskebryg: a tradition from the early 20th century. Slightly stronger, and using unusual ingredients, there are now more than 100 Easter beers available each year. Unsurprisingly, P-day – the day these special brews are released – is also an unofficial, tipsy day of celebration.
