Up the road from Cambridge

Around the side of an old farmhouse, there’s a large lawn with a fantastic view across the wheat fields to Ely cathedral rising from the flatlands. Even better, that lawn turns out to be the actual campsite with just four pitches. A footpath right from the farm means you can walk the couple of miles for a closer look at its stained glass windows and the like. And if walking is your thing you can join the Ouse Valley Way or Fen Rivers Way along the banks of the nearby Great Ouse. Don’t worry that it looks very close to the A10 on the map, there’s surprisingly little noise from the road.
