Dundee, Tayside and Fife — A dry and fine day with periods of sunshine during the morning. Turning cloudier in the afternoon though with the risk of the odd shower breaking out. However, these will be few and far between. Light breezes. Max 16-19C.

Aberdeen, Inverness and Highlands —A dry and fine day with long periods of summer sunshine. However, there will be a build up of cloud during the afternoon and the odd light shower cannot be ruled out. A fine evening too. Light breezes, varying in direction. Max 16-19C.

Central and Clyde Coast — It looks set to be a dry and fine summer day. There will be a mixture of sunny periods and areas of cloud. A fine evening with lots of sunshine. Feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine. Light variable breezes. Max 17-20C. Scottish mountain forecast for climbers — A largely dry day but with plenty of cloud, especially during the afternoon. Light breezes, varying in direction.
