NOT

- By Ali Kirker DUNKOPHOBE

I OFTEN don’t feel I’ve got much in common with my southern cousins.

I say baffies instead of slippers and when I put on my dressing gown, it’s a goonie and not a housecoat.

But I’m with marvellous Mary all the way on this one.

No dunking down south? Well, I’ve got more in common with southerners than I thought.

A cup of tea is one of life’s small delights.

Our streets are crammed with coffee shops, but truly we love builder’s brew.

There’s something about the clink of spoon against mug that makes it the ultimate comfort.

So why would you want to spoil your brew by dunking a biscuit in there?

You’re left with a soggy Hob Nob and bits floating about in your mug. Eeeew.

Likewise, a tasty biscuit is a beauty. Undunked with a cuppa, it’s a joy.

But dunking is for doughnuts.
