Not so bird brained

RESEARCHERS in New Zealand found that pigeons could learn to “read” words.

The team at the University of Otago trained the birds to peck to indicate whether a series of letters formed a proper word or were just a jumble.

The four birds underwent eight months of training.

It gives a whole new meaning to speaking pigeon English!
