JACKETT ON A SHOOGLIE PEG

KENNY JACKETT could replace Alex Neil as manager of Norwich City.

Ex-Hamilton Accies boss Neil is under mounting pressure at Carrow Road after a dismal, winless six weeks through October and November.

Now it has been reported that the former Wolves gaffer could be drafted in as his replacement after quitting Rotherham United five games into a three-year deal.

Former Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey holds the purse strings at Norwich and has a solid working relationship with Jackett, stemming from the gaffer’s successful threeyear stint at Molineux.

The prospect of a reunion could appeal to both men, with Norwich desperate for promotion back to the Premier League, and Neil (below) under increasing scrutiny.

GABLE ENDIES TO CASH IN?

THE last manager to earn Albion Rovers a money-spinning Scottish Cup tie could be about to make a return to football.

James Ward has emerged as a candidate for the vacant manager’s job at Montrose.

Rovers earned a Fourth-Round shot at Celtic by beating Queen of the South in midweek.

Ward secured an Old Firm pay-day when he led the Rovers into a quarter-final tie with Rangers back in March, 2014.

SMART MOVE BY ANNAN

ANNAN ATHLETIC and striker Smart Osadolor could be reunited in the transfer window.

The 25-year-old returned to training with the Galabank side after unsuccessful spells at Stranraer and East Kilbride.

Athletic are awaiting clearance from the SFA despite Osadolor turning out in Senior and Lowland League football this season.

WALKING ON AARON

STRANRAER could give former Kilmarnock striker Aaron Splaine a route back into the game after more than six months out.
