‘Fluke’ got James his new role
JAMES McAVOY has revealed landing his latest movie role was a bit of a fluke. The actor said he was promoting X-Men Apocalypse at Comic Con in San Diego when he bumped into Director M Night Shyamalan.
The chance meeting led to him landing the leading role in upcoming movie Split.
He said: “The minute I set foot in California I get a job that is one of the most interesting roles I’ve ever played.
“Even though I’m established and have X-Men behind me, I always feel like I need to take on a challenge.”
McAvoy plays Kevin – a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder, causing him to have 23 personalities.
