Ex-player paralysed

FAMILY and teammates of a former footballer are raising funds for a pioneering treatment after he was left paralysed in a swimming pool accident.

Ex-Birmingham City defender Joey Hutchinson, 34, severed his spinal cord while on holiday in Spain in June.

The club is holding a benefit match for the father-of-two on May 6.
