Scots not scrooge

SCOTS are not a bunch of tight-fisted misers, a study into myths has revealed.

More than half our English neighbours see us as generous, but six in 10 folk in Scotland believe those down south have stiff upper lips.

The Whyte and Mackay poll also shot down the “luck of the Irish” notion, but confirmed the Welsh are seen as rugby fanatics.
