Indyref chat is back
SABRE-RATTLING about independence has all but disappeared from Holyrood’s debating chamber following the summer break.
But fear not, fans of petty bickering, for it continues through parliamentary motions. Tory deputy leader Jackson Carlaw reminded anyone who could be bothered to read it about the 1967 Gibraltar sovereignty referendum and warned against “neverendums”.
The SNP’s Stuart McMillan then took the time to remind the masses that 96% of voters on the island backed remain in the EU referendum.
Grown-up politics? One step at a time.
