IT is always worth rememberin­g that politician­s are human – and that some even have a down-with-the-cool-kids taste in music.

So it proved at this year’s Electric Fields festival, featuring indie rockers Frightened Rabbit, grime rapper Dizzee Rascal – and some SNP leading lights.

Bearded, baseball cap-wearing former Westminste­r leader Angus Robertson enjoyed the guitar-driven tracks, while Social Security Minister Jeane Freeman was down the front for East Kilbride’s The Jesus And Mary Chain, above. Here’s hoping they supply the playlist for this year’s Nat conference!
