ANYONE checking the midweek football results wouldn’t have paid much attention to the fortunes of Swedish team Ostersunds.
But the minnows’ 2-0 away win in Ukraine was the latest step on their incredible rise.
They’ve gone from the fourth tier to the top league, winning a cup and making it to the Europa League group stages, all within the decade.
Managed by former English non-league player Graham Potter and exHamilton boss Billy Reid, the squad has an unusual way of bonding – they have a culture academy.
That’s down to chairman Daniel Kindberg, a former army lieutenant. The players and backroom staff have done everything from write a book and produce an exhibition to stage concerts and perform Swan Lake.
It’s unusual but it seems to be working – Scottish clubs should take note!
