KENNY ON...

Friday will be a special day for the Dalglish family when wehaveaprivate unveiling of the Kenny Dalglish Stand at Anfield.

To say I’m humbled is an understatement.

The football club could have chosen any one of a number of fine servants it’s had over the decades, but they opted for me.

If they think I’m deserving of it, then it is a huge compliment to myself and my family.

I suppose if I had a different surname and was called East or West, then there would be many, many stands all over the world named after me!

The supporters will gettoseeiton Saturday when we play against Manchester United.

That’s always a huge date on the Liverpool calendar.

Ihopeit’sadayof celebration for all.

The supporters, as ever, will create a special atmosphere on the day, and they willwantustowinthe game of football.

I hope they enjoy the view from The Dalglish Stand.

We have the Shankly Gates and the Paisley Gates at Anfield.

Both Bill (above) andBobwere fantastic men. They did so much for Liverpool and were deserving of such recognition by the club.

So I’m extremely proud to be in their company.
