Collar ban no shock news

Well done to the Scottish Government for banning shock collars on dogs.

I think these devices are absolutely horrific. You wouldn’t teach a person using fear or pain – so why would you do it to an animal?

We always had dogs when I was growing up and not one of them ever had a lead.

If you take the time and effort to train dogs properly – exercise them regularly and treat them with affection – they can be incredibly obedient.

There’s no denying how clever and sensitive they are – just look at guide dogs – so if you can’t look after a dog properly, don’t get one.
