Two of Glasgow’s most popular tourist attractions could be shut indefinitely.

Engineers say it will cost the City Council £7m to make the Winter Gardens safe. The fire exit from the People’s Palace next door needs access to the Gardens and it will have to close too.

The priceless archive in the People’s Palace will stay in place as contingency plans are drafted.
