Fury as Paige shop to go on the market

Paige was killed in March.

The Delicious Deli takeaway, where Paige was killed by evil John Leathem, has been closed since her death in March.

Now landlord Lakhbir Singh says h e’s considering putting the Clydebank shop back up for rent.

But community leader John White said locals never want to see the premises in use again.

Mr White, 52, community councillor for Clydebank East, said: “It’s outrageous to think the shop will be open again.

“No one in the community wants to see it open again – ever.

“The landlord should be taking that into consideration.

“No one in this community will go in there, after all it’s where Paige was killed. Even something like a youth centre would fail there.

“We had talked about seeing if we POLICE are searching for a woman not seen since Tuesday, when she left her home without her dog, mobile phone or any money.

Mr Singh, 54, who owns a number of properties in the area, told The Sunday Post he was considering instructing letting agents to put the shop back on the market.

But he admitted it might be difficult to find a tenant.

He said: “If I had heard all the

“How e v e r, it would appear that around 10pm, she left her home again.”

Her family say it is unusual for Ms McQueen to not make contact.

Ins Ritchie added: “Every morning, Janet usually goes to f ro m her home in Langside Road to the Sir John Stirling Maxwell pub in Kilmarnock Road, Shawlands, for a cup of coffee and cake, and sometimes later in the afternoon, the James Tassie public house, but she hasn’t been seen in either recently.

“I would appeal to anyone who knows Janet, or who may have seen her since Tuesday, to call officers at Cathcart Police Office on 101.”
