The Great British Bake Off
It’s back – but with a new recipe.
Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc decided not to follow the show when it moved channels, so now Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are taking over presenting duties, while Prue Leith steps in as judge.
But there’s still a tent, Paul Hollywood and, in this first episode, 12 amateur bakers who are keen to show they are the best in Britain. They are about to be faced with cake week, as they whip up a fruity signature bake, before tackling a children’s tea party classic and a tricky illusion cake.
But who will be more nervous – the contestants or Channel 4 as it waits to find out if the viewers have followed GBBO to its new home?
