A Hue and Cry when kids fly nest

The Sunday Post (Inverness) - - Opinion -

I was delighted to catch up with Hue and Cry. I’ve been a fan since the ’80s and I remember listening to the album Remote when I first moved to London. It got me through some lonely times.

I still listen to it, and Seduced And Abandoned, Bitter Suite as well as their most recent releases.

The new album Pocketful Of Stones is another classy release that features Pat’s daughter Eleanor on the track Let Her Go. She has definitely inherited her dad’s glorious singing ability.

The song really resonated with me as I’m the mum of a daughter who is all grown up and finding her place in the world. We have to “let them go” but it’s still very hard when our children leave the nest.
