No change – Assad is still a killer

The Sunday Post (Inverness) - - Opinion -

Syria took the unusual step this week of announcing they would sign up to the Paris Climate Accord, isolating the US and Nicaragua as the only two countries who still refuse to sign the climate change charter.

It’s unusual as, given the amount of nerve agents, high explosives, chemicals, sarin and mustard gas that Assad and his murderous regime have dropped on his own people, Syria in must be one the most toxic and polluted places to live on the planet.

Certainly one of the most dangerous.

Maybe they think that this mother of all battles to save the planet is another one that can be won by force, using torture, mass killing and causing the displacement of millions of innocent civilians.
