Inverurie locos 9 lossiemouth 1

High-flying Inverurie Locos were met by resistance from a well-organised Lossiemouth side and had to wait until the half-hour for their opener before going on the rampage.

Jordan Leyden played a wellweighted ball into the path of Andy Hunter and he flicked the ball over the advancing Blair Moir.

Just before the break, Leyden fed in top scorer Neil Gauld to despatch past Moir, then Joe Mccabe first-timed a rebound into the net for 3-0.

Straight after the restart, Neil Mclean added a fourth with a right-foot volley from 18 yards.

On 57 minutes, Moir was unable to hold on to Hunter’s shot and Leyden knocked in. Mclean then flicked a ball on and Hunter, on the ground, nudged it past Moir for 6-0.

Lossie reduced the leeway in 65 minutes, young striker Brodie Allen quickly turning and firing past Andy Reid.

Hunter made it 7-1 to complete back-to-back home hat-tricks, then central defender Ryan Broadhurst hit No. 8 with a volley at the back post from a corner.

A perfect cross from sub Chris Herd was controlled by Hunter to score his 21st of the season.

NAIRN 1 Formartine 2

County led on 20 minutes. A freekick from Maclennan found Macrae and his glancing header gave Macdonald no chance.

The visitors were level in 33 minutes when Macleod let Archie Macphee’s low drive slip past him.

The keeper made amends in 35 minutes when he saved a Scott Barbour penalty.

However, the visitors nudged ahead a minute later when Gethins pounced to force home a Macphee corner.

In the second half, Macdonald did well to tip a Max Ewan header over the top.

Cove rangers 1 WICK 1

Gordon Macnab put Wick into the lead. A ball out to the right found the striker in space and he advanced into the 18-yard box before slotting it past the onrushing Stuart Mckenzie.

It was all square at the break when a corner from Cove was forced home from the edge of the six-yard box by Paul Mcmanus.

Cove earned a second-half penalty, but Sean Mccarthy denied Mitch Megginson.

Jamie Masson was sent off on 80 minutes for two bookings.

Fort william 1 Huntly 4

The visitors opened their scoring in the 15th minute when Neale Davidson swung in a free-kick for Matty Macdonald to convert at the near post.

Bryan Simpson failed to claim a long throw 18 minutes later and, although Mike Ewen’s initial effort was blocked, it fell kindly for Michael Clark to give Huntly a two-goal cushion at the break.

Fort were reduced to 10 men early in the second half when Michael Gillespie collected a second yellow card.

The points looked in the bag when a corner from Davidson was played across goal by Ewen for Cameron Booth to head home.

However, Fort responded with a goal just two minutes later, Jack Lingard heading home from Iain Maclellan’s corner.

A minute on, it was 4-1 as Simpson misjudged Booth’s effort.

Forres 1 BUCKIE thistle 0

In the first half, an Allan Pollock free-kick for Forres from 30 yards out was headed narrowly wide by Stuart Soane.

Then Andrew Macrae was fed through by Declan Milne and, despite skipping around the keeper, he was unable to score.

Buckie’s Andy Macaskill then got away from his man then fed Steven Ross, but Graham Fraser produced a fine tackle to prevent the former Ross County man just as he was set to pull the trigger.

With seven minutes left, Stuart Soane rose to head a corner off the post and Macrae lashed the ball home for the winner.

turriff 1 CLACHNACUDDIN 0

Clach had the first real opening of the game on 12 minutes with Daniel Maclennan rounding Aaron Sherman, but Darren Wood cleared the ball off the line.

At the other end, Liam Strachan struck a James Chalmers through ball over the bar at the midpoint of the first half.

The deadlock was broken with six minutes left in the first period when a Nikolas Wozniak free-kick deflected off the Clach defensive wall and found it’s way past Douglas Maclennan.

Clach had the better chances in the second half and a solo effort from Daniel Maclennan was saved by Aaron Sherman.

Cammy Bowden almost netted for Turriff on 72 minutes, but his header was blocked by Paul Smith.

KEITH 1 Brora rangers 2

Captain Steven Mackay put Brora ahead in 27 minutes, slamming home from 15 yards.

Keith were level a minute later, with Cammy Keith wrongfooting the defence and firing an angled drive into the far corner of the net.

Stuart denied Martin Mcleod with a double save in the first half.

After the interval, Zander Sutherland drove inches wide and a Mackay header came off the bar.

But it was Brora who marched into the semi-finals of the Breedon Highland League Cup thanks to a goal by Martin Mclean 10 minutes from time.

He collected a cross in the box, cut inside a defender and drove past stand-in teenage keeper Regan Stuart.
