Aberdeen, In­ver­ness and High­lands —A wet and over­cast morn­ing with out­breaks of rain for many. Rain will be­gin to clear to the east this af­ter­noon, turn­ing brighter and drier be­hind. Wet in Aberdeen un­til the evening. Mainly gen­tle, vari­able winds. Max 8-11C. Dundee, Tay­side and Fife — Cloudy with out­breaks of rain dur­ing the morn­ing. Rain will turn light or ease this af­ter­noon as cloud clears to the east. Brighter with sun­shine be­hind. A fine evening. Mod­er­ate north­west­erly winds. Max 8-11C.

Cen­tral and Clyde Coast — There will be light blus­tery rain early on. Much of the thick cloud will clear dur­ing the morn­ing, leav­ing a mainly dry and bright day. Gen­tle, vari­able winds. Max 9-12C. Scot­tish moun­tain fore­cast for
