China in their plans

The University of the Highlands and Islands has opened a microcampus in China.

Centred at the Hunan Institute of Engineering, the development builds on an existing partnership between the two organisations which enables students from across China to study the UHI’S electrical and electronic engineering and mechanical engineering degrees.

Professor Stuart Gibb, the university’s vice-principal international and external engagement, said: “The opening of a microcampus is an important and exciting step in the development of the university and a clear statement of our international aspirations.” The launch event took place on Monday.
