Motorbike fans head for the hills

The Sunday Post (Newcastle) - - BAKE THAT -

A MASS ride-out of more than 2000 bikers took place in the Highlands yesterday.

It was part of one of Europe’s largest annual gatherings of Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts.

As well as the riders who registered for Thunder in the Glens, a further 600 turned up in Aviemore over the weekend.

Now in its 21st year, the event is organised by Edinburgh’s Dunedin Chapter of Harley-Davidson owners.

When it first started, the gathering involved only around 200 riders.

Dunedin Chapter describes its event as “biggest and best chapter-run” Harley rally in Europe.

Thousands gathered to see the unusual sight.
