Police to hand back Govt. cash
SCOTLAND’S national police force will hand back millions of pounds from its budget because it can’t spend the money quickly enough.
Senior figures from Police e Scotland will meet with the Government next week to discuss returning a substantial sum of reform funding.
It has previously been reported Police Scotland is set to “underspend” its capital reform budgets by £22 million this year.
Scottish Police Authority chairman Andrew Flanagann said clarity was needed overr whether the force could keep the money or whetherr it should “make a definitive statement of how much we want to hand back”.
