So it proved at this year’s Elec­tric Fields fes­ti­val, fea­tur­ing in­die rock­ers Fright­ened Rab­bit, grime rap­per Dizzee Ras­cal – and some SNP lead­ing lights.

Bearded, base­ball cap-wear­ing for­mer West­min­ster leader An­gus Robertson en­joyed the gui­tar-driven tracks, while So­cial Se­cu­rity Min­is­ter Jeane Free­man was down the front for East Kil­bride’s The Je­sus And Mary Chain, above.
