The joys of living alone

The Sunday Post (Newcastle) - - OPINION -

The number of middle-aged people living alone in the UK has jumped by about a half over the past two decades.

Are people becoming more selfish? Is life becoming too hectic?

I meet so many people through work on a daily basis that when I’ve had a really busy day I love to go home and be on my own.

I never thought I would like living alone, but I love my peace and quiet.

We are all so connected in so many different ways with technology – sometimes in the “real world” I simply enjoy my own company.

Some peace and quiet
