Nothing to wine about

The Sunday Post (Newcastle) - - OPINION -

As an unqualified aficionado of red wine, I was excited to hear molecular geneticists from Exeter University have discovered it may hold the key to living longer.

Now they have begun work on producing a red wine-based anti-ageing pill which could prevent heart disease, cancer and dementia.

Not that this licensed trade veteran would swap a glass of Petrus or even a dodgy Malbec for a tablet.

I’d rather pop a cork than pop a pill.
