Hampden roaring for real change

The Sunday Post (Newcastle) - - OPINION -

Well, the game to keep Hampden as Scotland’s national football stadium went into extra-time, and was won only by the timely intervention and generosity of two great Scots, Sir Willie Haughey and Sir Tom Hunter. But the correct decision has been made and Hampden’s footballing future is now secured and Murrayfield’s bid has been kicked into touch.

The SFA now have to deliver, the fans and the people of Glasgow expect nothing less. The Old Lady of Mount Florida needs new clothes and money spent on her to bring her up to scratch.

If they don’t the Tartan Army will be coming down the road to kick them out!
