Council HQ flag probe

A probe has been launched after a Celtic flag was raised over a local authority’s HQ.

Footage online shows the green “nine-in-a-row” flag in celebration of the football club’s league title wins attached to a flagpole above Glasgow City Chambers.

Tory councillor Thomas Kerr tweeted: “I have spoken to the Lord Provost who has assured me that this matter is being investigated.”

Glasgow City Council said yesterday: “This is inappropriate. It should not have happened.”
