Chris Froome fell out of contention after being trapped on the wrong side of a peloton split on the sixth stage of the Tour of Catalonia won by South African Daryl Impey yesterday. Froome, who started in second place, lost more than 20 minutes as the Team Sky pack became detached from the leading group. Meanwhile, Sir Bradley Wiggins has vowed to “shock a few people” when he finally answers doping allegations. Wiggins described the claims he may have broken anti-doping rules – which he strongly denies – as “horrible” for a “man of my integrity”.
