Maid­stone min­nows pile more mis­ery on ail­ing Mac­cles­field

Va­narama Na­tional League side Maid­stone beat League Two strug­glers Mac­cles­field 2-1 to knock them out of the Cup in the first round.

Ben Stephens had put Mac­cles­field in front in the 15th minute, but the home side hit back early in the sec­ond half through Jack Powell’s free-kick at the Gallagher Sta­dium. Blair Tur­gott won the tie from the penalty spot with 20 min­utes left.

Kabongo Tshi­manga scored a hat-trick as Na­tional League South side bat­tled to a 3-3 draw at League Two pro­mo­tion chasers

Na­tional League team drew 1-1 at home against League One bot­tom club who equalised on 70 min­utes through mid­fielder Nathaniel Knight-Per­ci­val.

A stop­page-time ef­fort from Bruno An­drade gave a 3-2 win over League One’s came from be­hind to beat 3-1 on the Na­tional League side’s ar­ti­fi­cial pitch.
