When it comes to great British produce, Borough Market has well and truly cornered the, erm, market. So it’s no surprise that at new pop-up Borough Plates, set at its centre, the changing menu features the finest charcuterie, pâtés and seafood around. And it’s no surprise that, as a result, the dishes are delicious. In fact, the only surprise is: why has no one thought do this before?! borough market.org.uk

This week’s Stella celebrates all things ‘It’ and Brit – which is why we’re bang in the mood for new book London Uprising: Fifty Fashion Designers, One City. A backstage pass into the studios of the capital’s coolest designers, the gorgeous tome sees Anya Hindmarch interviewed by Lisa Armstrong, Victoria Beckham by Alexandra Shulman, plus (as the title would suggest) 48 others, all just as fabulous. You can keep Cannes, and save us Sundance. Because this week, Glasgow is proving we Brits throw an altogether cooler film festival. Sure, there are starry premieres ( Mad to be Normal with David Tennant) and hot international films ( Berlin Syndrome, above), but here they’re doing things differently. An immersive screening of The Thing on a snowy ski slope? That’s just for starters… glasgowfilm.org

For our Great British Special, it’s only right that we have a special Great British prize up for grabs. Tickets to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, say? Done! To mark the 10th anniversary of gold-medal-winning Flower Power Premium Plant Food, developed by gardening expert Richard Jackson (available at qvcuk.com), QVC is giving away five pairs to Telegraph subscribers.
