Chicken and sweet pota­toes with miso, ginger and spring onions

8 chicken thighs (or use a mix­ture of chicken joints) 700g sweet pota­toes, washed and cut into wedges 2½ tbsp white miso 1½ tbsp honey 2 tbsp rice wine (or sherry will do) 1 tbsp dark soy sauce 3 cloves gar­lic, grated Serves 4-6

In­gre­di­ents

2.5cm chunk ginger root, peeled and grated 1 red chilli, halved and finely chopped (use the seeds) about 12-18 spring onions 3 tsp black or toasted white se­same seeds (or a mix­ture of the two)

For the fi­nal bast­ing

1 tbsp white miso 1 tbsp honey ½ tbsp dark soy sauce ½ tbsp rice wine (or sherry)
