There aren’t many artists whose work you can recognise at a glance. But pop-art master Roy Lichtenstein is definitely among them. From Friday, a major free exhibition at Tate Liverpool brings together more than 20 of his comic-strip-style paintings, so synonymous with ’60s pop culture it almost feels like a greatesthits set.
