THE HAND ROLL

Roll your hands over each other hor­i­zon­tally, faster than the beat, as though you were reel­ing in a kite. A ver­sa­tile move that helps to dis­tract from dodgy foot­work. It can be used while reach­ing above your head to the left, then to the right. Also goes well with strut­ting for­ward and back, or to the side.

THE PUSH

This is a two-handed stop sig­nal. Keep your feet planted and twist your body to push twice to the left, then twice to the right. Needs care­ful tim­ing as you don’t want the ob­ject of your as­pi­ra­tional af­fec­tions to get the wrong mes­sage.
