Istanbul blast Irish among victims of suicide bombing

-

At least two Irish citizens were injured in a suicide bomb attack in Turkey yesterday that killed five people and left more than 35 others injured.

The attacker detonated a bomb on Istanbul’s main pedestrian shopping street, less than a week after a bombing in the capital, Ankara, killed 37. The Turkish government blamed the previous attack on far-Left Kurdish militants. The country has been hit by a spate of deadly bombings including its worst attack in the capital late last year in which 103 people were killed.
