Chef ’s plastic windows upset the neighbours
Michelin-starred chef Alain Roux has upset villagers in Bray, Berks, by fitting plastic windows to a property he owns, which, they claim, are “completely out of place” with neighbouring homes.
The chef-patron of The Waterside Inn received retrospective planning permission when he replaced timberframed windows with white doubleglazed uPVC ones.
But neighbours wrote in a statement: “These windows look horrible and devalue the look of the lane.”
