Dog walking course will lead to qualification

The Sunday Telegraph - - News -

Students can now get a qualification in how to walk a dog. A three-day course will be held at the Bedford Business Centre in November.

Graduates will gain a Level 2 City & Guilds Certificate of Competency in Dog Walking. Another course will be offered for Competency in Pet Sitting. The Pet Industry Federation said the courses would “cover the main issues and responsibilities that professional dog walkers and pet sitters encounter during their work”. A spokesman added: “The roles and responsibilities of a professional dog walker are more complex than simply attaching a lead and strolling around the local park.”
