Ryanair executive quits over cancelled flights
One of Ryanair’s senior executives is to leave the troubled airline amid fallout over the cancellation of thousands of its flights.
Michael Hickey, chief operating officer, is thought to have been blamed by its boss Michael O’Leary for the chaos that has engulfed the low-cost airline. His resignation comes after the cancellation of tens of thousands of flights through to March because of errors in how pilots are rostered. Mr Hickey was responsible for scheduling shifts for pilots.
