A time for giving

The Sunday Telegraph - - Letters To The Editor -

This year’s Telegraph Christmas Charity Appeal backs three excellent causes. Canine Partners trains talented puppies to help disabled people with tasks such as filling the washing machine or raising the alarm in an emergency. Missing People offers a lifeline to those who have disappeared and, if possible, reunites them with their families. And Fare Share makes sure that perfectly good food destined to be binned goes to those who need it.

This is the 27th year of the appeal and, in total, it has raised £24million for deserving causes. The appeal runs until January 31 and there will be a chance to make donations over telephones manned by Telegraph journalists and staff on December 3. Thank you for your generosity.
