- Gerard O’Donovan

BBC TWO, 9.00PM

Not unlike Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins and BBC Two’s Astronauts: Do You Have What It Takes?, kes?, this absorbing new series s puts a group of recruits through ough a series of gruelling physical hysical and psychological challenges hallenges to see if they could make the grade as a secret agent nt according to a selection ion test used during the Second ond World War. This test was used by the Special Operations Executive e (SOE) to determine whether recruits would be capable of surviving behind enemy lines while causing disruption to the foe in the territory. As with the original SOE, the 14 candidates come from diverse backgrounds (among them a research scientist, a property developer, a drag act performer and a retired investment banker). In the opening episode, they undergo an initial four-day assessment at a remote Scottish country-house estate.
