Earth on show for one night at history museum
A giant glowing Earth will be installed next to the skeleton of the blue whale at the Natural History Museum.
Luke Jerram’s 23ft diameter orb will go on display in the museum’s Hintze Hall later this month.
Jerram, a Bristol-based artist, is best known for his giant Moon artwork, which went missing in the post, and created the illuminated surface of Earth using Nasa images.
Earth will go on show for one evening on Nov 30 before going on tour around the world. The free event, for adults to explore the museum after hours, starts at 6pm.
